Terms of Service

1. The service

Genie is a metered service. You describe a game; autonomous coding agents build it. You pay for the compute actually consumed, measured in tokens and billed against prepaid credits — not for any guaranteed outcome, deadline, or level of quality.

2. Accounts

You sign in with Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for activity under your account. A studio display name you configure is shown on your published arcade games.

3. Credits and billing

Credits are prepaid, metered in micro-USD, and never expire. Each order carries a spend cap you pick; when the cap is reached the order pauses until you top up or raise the cap. Charges reflect compute actually consumed, and may post even where they drive your balance negative — a negative balance blocks all further work until a top-up clears it.

4. Your game

You own the copyright in the game delivered to you. You may do anything with it — host it, modify it, sell it.

If you choose to publish your game to the Genie arcade, you grant Genie a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute the game on this site for as long as it remains published. You may unpublish at any time; the license ends when the game comes down.

You retain ownership of assets you upload, and you warrant you have the right to use them.

5. Content policy

Everything you submit — order text, grill messages, spec edits, modification instructions, uploads, publish metadata, comments — passes automated moderation. Content that fails is declined; borderline content is held for operator review. Illegal or abusive content is refused outright.

6. Stopping, failure, retry

You may stop a running order at any time; consumed charges stand. A failed order keeps only its consumed charges and may be retried, resuming the same workspace.

7. Liability

The service is provided as-is, as an experiment. No SLA, no uptime promise, no guarantee a given order will succeed. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the credits you have purchased.
